Mechanical Assembler | Direct Hire
Location: Warren, OH
Pay/Shift: 20-23/hr -- 1st Shift
Job Description
Plan and perform all required operations connected with erection and assembly of machinery and auxiliaries following standard or accepted methods and procedures. Work involves the erection and assembly of large equipment involving a considerable amount of parts requiring skill and care to maintain close tolerances in fits, alignments, and clearances. Work from drawings, schematics, and other specifications, data, and other instructions to plan erection procedures. Finish, align, shim and dowel as necessary. Set wheels and assemble pump brackets on pumps, check and adjust alignments and clearances. Attach and connect high and low-pressure hydraulic, air, coolant, and other tube lines. Detect and report defective materials, improper operation, and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
Responsibilities
Plan and perform all required operations for the assembly of machinery.
Erect and assemble large equipment with precision.
Work from drawings, schematics, and other specifications.
Finish, align, shim, and dowel as necessary.
Set wheels and assemble pump brackets on pumps.
Check and adjust alignments and clearances.
Attach and connect high and low-pressure hydraulic, air, coolant, and other tube lines.
Detect and report defective materials, improper operations, and unusual conditions.
Essential Skills
2+ years of machine building experience.
Troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
Knowledge of 120VAC, 240VAC, 480VAC, 600VAC & 24V DC is a plus.
Ability to utilize a tape measure and have basic math skills.
Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Must be open to 1st shift.
Ability to be on feet for 8 consecutive hours.
Having personal tools is a plus.

Work Environment
Direct placement in a heavy industrial environment with a lot of machine building. The facility is very large and busy, with parts everywhere and an overflow of work. The shift is from 6am to 2:30pm, with potential overtime until 3:30 or 4:30pm and occasional half days on Saturdays. This is a very busy and fast-paced environment.
